Way project we were working on. She is a perfectionist, wanting her sculptures

location to be exceptionally moving to their viewers, so that the models had to
be flawless
likenesses of the horses, creating in her mind a perfect visualization of how the
horses
and the new site complimented one another. A quote by Ms. Butterfield makes
it clear why
the model horses I made had to be unquestionably flawless, making it palpable that
the
experience she desired viewers to draw from these specific horses was achieved,
"My
horses' gestures are really quite quiet, [...] For the pieces I make,
the gesture is really
more within the body, it's like an internalized gesture, which is more
about [...] the
state of mind or of being at a given instant."
