On referral by a co-worker at EPT Design, I was retained by Jennifer Post, of Jennifer Post Design in New York, to create a 3-dimensional model in Sketch-Up of Simon Cowell's future home in Los Angeles, CA.  Post and I spoke daily, working together to finalize the design so that the 3D would be accurate.  The staircase had become the waterloo to the finalization of the project.  I designed a freestanding spiral staircase to incorporate the Old Victorian style of the home being remodeled with the Modern look he desired.  The staircase has a Victorian spiral flow to it, but is freestanding so that it appears to be floating.  Post admired the suggested design and presented it to Cowell.  The staircase became a permanent component in the design.
